The ASEAN Center for Biodiversity is calling all amateur and professional photographers and students to join their photo contest. The theme is “Zooming in on biodiversity. Entries should capture various images related to biodiversity (plants, animals, marine life, ASEAN Heritage Parks), how biodiversity benefits human life, its importance, threats to it (deforestation or climate change), or how it affects lives. Photos showing initiatives in protecting biodiversity resources are also welcome.
Photos can also depict:
a) Biodiversity as source of food (food and agriculture)
b) Biodiversity as source of medicine (health and medicine)
c) Biodiversity as source of shelter
d) Biodiversity and climate change
e) Aesthetic value of biodiversity
f) Biodiversity as source of livelihood
g) Biodiversity and ecotourism
This contest is open to all residents of ASEAN member states. Entries must be exclusive to the contest, unpublished, nor have been submitted to other photo contests. Participants are allowed to submit up to colored photos taken with a digital or analog camera. Entries must be in JPEG format with a resolution of 6 megapixels or 3000 x 2000 pixels. Digitally altered photos won’t be accepted with the exception of resize.

1st Prize: $1,500 + travel, meals and accommodation to attend the awarding ceremonies in Singapore
2nd Prize: $1,000
3rd Prize: $700
B. Amateur
1st Prize: $1,000 + travel, meals and accommodation to attend the awarding ceremonies in Singapore
2nd Prize: $750
3rd Prize: $500
C. Student
1st Prize: $1,000 + travel, meals and accommodation to attend the awarding ceremonies in Singapore
2nd Prize: $750
